DIACTIV Diatomaceous Earth – Celite Chile Inc. Subsidiary of World Minerals Inc.

Diatomaceous Earth is a microscopic unicellular seaweed characterized for its complex cellular structure composed mainly of amorphous cilice.
Celite Chile Inc. exploits, in Arica (North of Chile) and in Arequipa, Peru, diatomaceous earth deposits of excellent chemical quality, with all its properties and whiteness, which translate into different grades of DIACTIV. This constitutes a wide range of filter aids and functional fillers.

Precoat
This are different grades of Diactiv and pure Alfa Cellulose to resolve the diverse needs of fluidity and turbidity. The amount of cellulose is indicated with the letter included in the name. ( F: Diactiv with 15% of alfa cellulose, H: Diactiv with 20% of alfa cellulose).

Alfa Cellulose
Diactiv 11W and Fibra Cel SW 10 are filter aids composed in a 100% of Alfa Cellulose with a 99.5% purity which is produced in controlled conditions.

Functional fillers
Diatomaceous earth is used as a functional filler in the elaboration of paints and varnishes, manufacture of rubber, paper industry, insecticides and fertilizers and stoned washed jeans.
 
Certifications

All the products in the DIACTIV line have their correspondent certifications and pertinent approvals as following:

• Certificate of analysis according to norms of production of the OIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine)
• Certificate of quality according to regulations of production of the OIV
• Security lists
• Kosher Certificate with Passover
• Certificate of Approval, Resolutions and free circulation of the INV (Argentina’s National Institute of Vine and Wine)
